Privacy Policy

Our Commitment to Privacy
DomainOptic does not require accounts, does not use cookies, and does not intentionally collect or store personal user data. Standard server logs maintained by our infrastructure providers may contain technical data as described below.
Information We Do NOT Collect
DomainOptic does not intentionally collect or store:
- Personal identification information (name, email, address, phone number)
- Account credentials or passwords (we have no user accounts)
- Payment or financial information
- Domain search history tied to individual users
- Browser fingerprints or device identifiers for tracking
Note: Standard server logs maintained by AWS infrastructure may contain IP addresses and request metadata for operational and security purposes. We do not use this data for user tracking or profiling.
How Our Service Works
DomainOptic is a stateless service:
- Domain searches are processed in real-time and not stored
- AI-generated suggestions are created on-demand and discarded after delivery
- DNS and SSL checks query public information and results are not retained
- No user accounts exist - there is nothing to store
Security Scanning and Third-Party Domains
When users request security scans of domains:
- Scanned domain content is processed in real-time and not stored
- Detected patterns are displayed to the requesting user only, with sensitive values redacted
- Full secret values are never stored, logged, or transmitted - only partial redacted previews
- Scan requests identify themselves with User-Agent: "DomainOptic Security Scanner/1.0 (Passive)"
For domain owners: If you own a domain and wish to be excluded from scans, contact us at brenbuilds@protonmail.com.
Third-Party Services
- AWS (Amazon Web Services) - Cloud hosting infrastructure
- Groq API - Primary AI domain name generation (only search keywords are sent, not personal information)
- Google Gemini API - Fallback AI service when Groq is unavailable
- Cloudflare Web Analytics - Privacy-focused website analytics
AWS collects standard operational logs as part of normal service operation. This may include IP addresses, request timestamps, and request metadata in CloudWatch logs.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics which does not use cookies, does not track individual users across sites, does not collect personal information, and collects only anonymous aggregate metrics.
Cookies and Local Storage
DomainOptic does not set any cookies. We only store your theme preference (light/dark mode) in localStorage for convenience.
International Data Transfers
Our service infrastructure is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States. If you access our service from outside the United States, any technical data logged by our infrastructure providers may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Your Rights
Because we do not maintain user accounts or databases of personal information, traditional data subject rights (access, deletion, portability) do not apply in a conventional sense. You can clear your browser's localStorage to remove your theme preference and use browser extensions to block analytics if desired.
Children's Privacy
DomainOptic is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because our service does not require registration and we do not collect personal data, no age verification is necessary.
